Guest sentiment
A snapshot of what local diners frequently mention about this location.
"OMG, this place is seriously amazing! The chicken fried steak was so incredibly tasty, and the mashed potatoes were the perfect side. I also loved their strawberry lemonade, it was so refreshing. Plus, the service was super fast and friendly, which is always a huge bonus. The interior is really nice too, and they even have alcohol drinks available!"
"A few Grand Opening hits & misses. They were clearly not ready for a grand opening as staff was limited and either lacked prior service experience or not well trained. But kudos to the cook. My 10 oz. Ribeye was flavorful and grilled to perfection. My sides were Mashed potatoes and green beans. Both very good and portioned well. There were some technology glitches with the handheld devices the servers use to send orders to the kitchen, but they were resolved quickly. I will definitely return for future visits and am sure some of these first day gitters will sort themselves out. UPDATE: It's been a month since my last visit and this place has really improved."
"Absolutely outstanding! I had an incredible experience at this steakhouse. I was greeted with warm hospitality! The service was amazing, she was very attentive without being overbearing. I got the 16 oz ribeye was cooked to perfection and very flavorful. The plate comes with two sides —I got the steak fries and steamed veggies. I very much enjoyed my plate everything came out fresh and fast. Will surely be coming back. Highly recommend definitely give this place a try next time youre in the area."
"Today was my first visit. I ordered the Ribeye, green beans, mashed potatoes and sautéed mushrooms. After working at a steak house for 19 years, I was disappointed that the Ribeye was not what I know a Ribeye to be. It was very grizzly and dry. Everything thing else was great. Service was good and the margarita was good. I do plan to give them another try in the future."
"This was our first time coming since it has been opened. Our waitress Bree was very attentive. She is actually learning Spanish and impressed us. The kinks have been worked out from the others reviews from the opening. We both had the sirloin steaks. One was with a baked potato and a salad. The steak was well done and juicy. It was just the right amount of food. My husband had the steak fries and mixed vegetables. He liked the fries which were tender inside and crispy outside. We ordered the triple chocolate cake and carrot cake."
"My husband and I with our 2 year old had early dinner here Jan 28. We were the only diners until we were preparing to leave. Honestly, I kind of liked that. I had the ribeye, with mashed potatoes, charro beans and sautéed mushrooms. The steak was bare bones seasoning, which is great for me (not a heavy salt fan). The color threw me off, but the temperature was cooked correctly. The charro beans were simple and while smooth somewhat lacked in the flavor anticipated. The mashed potatoes were made with mayonnaise (smart move when you also have potato salad on the menu), but I did not care much for the flavor. The sautéed mushrooms were swimming in melted butter and garlic, very thinly sliced. My husband had the enchiladas supreme. I did not catch the meat filling and therefore cannot comment on this. The enchiladas were topped with a salad which was nicely presented with small tomatoes sliced in half and drizzled with sour cream(?) The rice and refried beans were on the bland side for our taste. We also ordered the queso, which was moderately flavored once cooled enough to enjoy. The bean and cheese taco was sufficiently flavored for the toddler. We also had 1 cocktail after asking about a bar menu. While mixed decently, I am not overly comfortable with the $13.99 tag. We spent $105 in total, which feels excessive. I only ask what the $3.27 SVC charge was? This is the only thing I am unsure of after taking time to review the receipt in comparison with the menu and memory of our order. The atmosphere was quiet as we were the only people there. I appreciated the cleanliness of the entire place, the decor, and the soft country music overhead. The high chair did not feel the safest for our squirmy child, but he was ok and no harm. When we return it will be for either breakfast or lunch."
"The BEST steakhouse gem in San Antonio! I went yesterday with my boyfriend and we were really impressed with the variety on the menu. This is a one stop shop if you have a large family or picky eaters. There is literally EVERYTHING you can think of at this restaurant to satisfy everyone. We ordered the 10oz Ribeye Steak plate and the BBQ Baby Backribs. Everything was DELICIOUS They also have Mexican plates, Salads, Pasta, and Seafood options available as well."
"I can’t believe it ! Sorry for the picture missing my chicken fried steak. I tried it and couldn’t stop eating it. Then I thought about taking a picture but more then half was gone. It is the best chicken fried steak ever and I know for sure it is homemade because I grew up eating chicken fried steak. The mac and cheese and the mash potatoes and gravy are also great just left them for last. This is my first time trying this new restaurant, ordered to go because I have my kiddos with me at home. My kids loved the hamburgers and chicken strips. We will for sure be eating here very often from now on. Love it!"
